UMBERTO I MODULAR HOSPITAL, SYRACUSE
The modular structure was built on an area of the Umberto I Hospital in Syracuse adjacent to the Emergency Department current entrance. Acotec Turnkey division has created a prefabricated structure to house an Emergency Department equipped with an X-ray department with CT scan on the ground floor and an intensive care unit with 16 beds, divided into rooms with 4 beds and 2 beds in isolated rooms on the second floor. The structure has a flat roof where systems were placed. The project was created with the highest levels of biological safety, suitable for hosting patients suffering from infectious diseases. The building is composed of a prefabricated modular steel structure, which develops with a regular and repetitive structural framework. The total surface area over three floors is approximately 1200 sqm on a plot of 600 sqm. The Emergency Department is set up on the ground floor, with waiting rooms, triage, 2 examination rooms and 2 observation rooms with 4 and 2 beds.
